Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Unfinished Design for Interstellar Space Sled to be used primarily in the Space System by Joe Zucker was auctioned at Christies in New York in December 2010, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 875.00 (€ 659.43). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Joe Zucker achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Jeweled Ant in July 2019 with an auction result of USD 27,500.00 (€ 24,708.00).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Unfinished Design for Interstellar Space Sled to be used primarily in the Space System von Joe Zucker im Dezember 2010 bei Christies in New York versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 875,00 (€ 659,43) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Joe Zucker erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Jeweled Ant im Juli 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 27.500,00 (€ 24.708,00).
