Auction result fails to reach estimate
This work of art by Joseph Dudley Downing could be acquired at Bukowski in Stockholm in December 2009 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Lilla Bukowskis S190 auction, the work Komposition changed hands for SEK 3,200.00 (€ 311.92) - just shy of the SEK 4,000.00 estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Joseph Dudley Downing achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Et cela depuis toujours in July 2010 with an auction result of EUR 13,750.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt den Schätzpreis
Dieses Kunstwerk von Joseph Dudley Downing konnte im Dezember 2009 bei Bukowski in Stockholm für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Lilla Bukowskis S190 wechselte die Arbeit Komposition für SEK 3.200,00 (€ 311,92) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit den Schätzpreis von SEK 4.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Joseph Dudley Downing erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Et cela depuis toujours im Juli 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 13.750,00.
