Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2001 Christies in London held the auction 20TH CENTURY BRITISH ART, which included the work The Hitchickers by Jock McFadyen. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 500.00 – 700.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 528.75 (€ 853.19) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jock McFadyen achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Calton Hill Iv in November 2017 with an auction result of GBP 10,000.00 (€ 11,351.49).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2001 führte Christies in London die Auktion 20TH CENTURY BRITISH ART durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Hitchickers von Jock McFadyen zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 500,00 – 700,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 528,75 (€ 853,19) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jock McFadyen erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Calton Hill Iv im November 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 10.000,00 (€ 11.351,49).
