This artwork by Joan Snyder achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in November 2015. In the The Collection of A. Alfred Taubman: Modern & Contemporary Art auction, the work without title sold for USD 77,500.00 (€ 73,376.25) - well above the upper estimate of USD 30,000.00. Admittedly, works by Joan Snyder have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Stripper in November this year with an auction result of USD 478,800.00 (€ 438,943.89).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Joan Snyder erzielte im November 2015 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion The Collection of A. Alfred Taubman: Modern & Contemporary Art wurde diese Arbeit ohne Titel für USD 77.500,00 (€ 73.376,25) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 30.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Joan Snyder auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Stripper im November diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 478.800,00 (€ 438.943,89).
