Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2008 Sothebys in London held the auction European Paintings including The Orientalist Sale, Symbolism and the Poetic Vision and Spanish Painting, which included the work Sin Titulo by Joan Ponç. The price achieved of GBP 6,875.00 (€ 8,312.39) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Admittedly, works by Joan Ponç have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Composición verde in October 2006 with an auction result of EUR 78,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2008 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion European Paintings including The Orientalist Sale, Symbolism and the Poetic Vision and Spanish Painting durch, in der auch die Arbeit Sin Titulo von Joan Ponç zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 6.875,00 (€ 8.312,39) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 6.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Joan Ponç auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Composición verde im Oktober 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 78.000,00.
