Auction result fails to reach estimate
When the work and pencil on paper laid on canvas by Joachim Frederik Skovgaard was auctioned at Bruun Rasmussen in Stockholm in November this year, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously set the estimate at DKK 3,000.00, but this failed to be met - in fact, the artwork changed hands for DKK 1,550.00 (€ 207.89). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Joachim Frederik Skovgaard achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A youth holding a branch, to the left two flying doves in January 2024 with an auction result of DKK 9,500.00 (€ 8,302.74).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt den Schätzpreis
Als die Arbeit and pencil on paper laid on canvas von Joachim Frederik Skovgaard im November diesen Jahres bei Bruun Rasmussen in Stockholm versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit DKK 3.000,00 angegeben, den dieses Werk bei seiner Versteigerung leider nicht erreichen konnte - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für DKK 1.550,00 (€ 207,89) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Joachim Frederik Skovgaard erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A youth holding a branch, to the left two flying doves im Januar 2024 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von DKK 9.500,00 (€ 8.302,74).
