In October 2008 Artcurial in Paris held the auction Contemporary Art 2, which included the work Sans Titre, 2006 by Jivya Soma Mashe. Here, the upper estimate of EUR 3,500.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for EUR 3,825.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jivya Soma Mashe - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Ant, 2007, which sold at auction in April 2008 for EUR 13,631.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Oktober 2008 führte Artcurial in Paris die Auktion Contemporary Art 2 durch, in der auch die Arbeit Sans Titre, 2006 von Jivya Soma Mashe zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von EUR 3.500,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für EUR 3.825,00 einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Jivya Soma Mashe mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Ant, 2007 beobachtet, die im April 2008 für EUR 13.631,00 versteigert wurde.
