Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Die Scheissende Welt by Jiri Georg Dokoupil was auctioned at Christies in Paris in July this year. The price achieved of GBP 630.00 (€ 735.02) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 500.00 – 700.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jiri Georg Dokoupil achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Zigarette mit Streichhölzern (aus der Schnuller-Bilder Serie) [Cigarette with Matches (from the Pacifier Series)|AID387265] in May 2007 with an auction result of USD 312,000.00 (€ 231,918.53).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Die Scheissende Welt von Jiri Georg Dokoupil kam im Juli diesen Jahres bei Christies in Paris zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 630,00 (€ 735,02) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 500,00 – 700,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jiri Georg Dokoupil erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Zigarette mit Streichhölzern (aus der Schnuller-Bilder Serie) [Cigarette with Matches (from the Pacifier Series)|AID387265] im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 312.000,00 (€ 231.918,53).
