Auction result misses estimated price range
In May 2021 a collector was able to acquire this work without title by Jimmie Durham for GBP 1,386.00 (€ 1,612.64). This price was achieved in the auction Contemporary Art Online at Sothebys in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jimmie Durham achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Apache -Rg16 G-8-13”Sch40-Pvc-1120 Nsf-81-D-1785-260Ps1@73°F in May 2019 with an auction result of USD 187,500.00 (€ 168,176.52).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Mai 2021 konnte ein Sammler diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Jimmie Durham für GBP 1.386,00 (€ 1.612,64) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Contemporary Art Online bei Sothebys in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jimmie Durham erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Apache -Rg16 G-8-13”Sch40-Pvc-1120 Nsf-81-D-1785-260Ps1@73°F im Mai 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 187.500,00 (€ 168.176,52).
