The work Composition - 1961 by Jilali Gharbaoui was sold in the A Moroccan Winter Majorelle & his contemporaries Modern & Contemporary Moroccan and International Art auction at Artcurial in Marrakech in December 2020. The »bidding war« ended at MAD 416,000.00 (€ 36,395.75), 39% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jilali Gharbaoui - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Composition, which sold at auction in November this year for GBP 88,200.00 (€ 102,204.62).

Die Arbeit Composition - 1961 von Jilali Gharbaoui wurde im Dezember 2020 in der Auktion A Moroccan Winter Majorelle & his contemporaries Modern & Contemporary Moroccan and International Art bei Artcurial in Marrakesch versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von MAD 416.000,00 (€ 36.395,75) und damit 39% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Jilali Gharbaoui mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Composition beobachtet, die im November diesen Jahres für GBP 88.200,00 (€ 102.204,62) versteigert wurde.
