The work Calligraphy In Regular Script by Jiang Zhongzheng was worth HKD 200,600.00 (€ 23,185.65) to a buyer in May 2016. This price was achieved in the auction Chinese Painting and Calligraphy from the Four Seas at China Guardian in Hong Kong and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of HKD 60,000.00 many times over. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Jiang Zhongzheng; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Letters sold at auction in April 2016 with the realized price of HKD 354,000.00 (€ 39,883.40).
