This artwork by Jiang Zhongzheng achieved an unexpectedly high price at China Guardian in Hong Kong in May 2016. In the Chinese Painting and Calligraphy from the Four Seas auction, the work Calligraphy In Regular Script sold for HKD 118,000.00 (€ 13,638.62) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 60,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jiang Zhongzheng - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Letters, which sold at auction in April 2016 for HKD 354,000.00 (€ 39,883.40).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 97 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Jiang Zhongzheng erzielte im Mai 2016 bei China Guardian in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Chinese Painting and Calligraphy from the Four Seas wurde die Arbeit Calligraphy In Regular Script für HKD 118.000,00 (€ 13.638,62) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 60.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Jiang Zhongzheng mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Letters beobachtet, die im April 2016 für HKD 354.000,00 (€ 39.883,40) versteigert wurde.
