Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Jiang Pu achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2013. In the Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy auction, the work Bamboo and Flowers sold for HKD 275,000.00 (€ 27,271.33) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 100,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jiang Pu achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Scenes Of Dengwei Mountain in September 2016 with an auction result of USD 586,000.00 (€ 521,445.10).
