Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2018 Sothebys in New York held the auction Fine Classical Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy, which included the work White Chrysanthemums And Red Leaves by Jiang Jie. It changed hands for a price of USD 7,500.00 (€ 6,453.28) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jiang Jie - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Flowers, which sold at auction in July 2020 for HKD 150,000.00 (€ 16,434.52).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2018 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy durch, in der auch die Arbeit White Chrysanthemums And Red Leaves von Jiang Jie zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 7.500,00 (€ 6.453,28) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Jiang Jie mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Flowers beobachtet, die im Juli 2020 für HKD 150.000,00 (€ 16.434,52) versteigert wurde.
