Auction result well in line with expectations
In March last year Bonhams in New York held the auction The Reverend Richard Fabian Collection of Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy, Part V The Online Sale, which included the work Landscape by Jiang Eshi. The price achieved of USD 1,020.00 (€ 919.50) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 800.00 – 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jiang Eshi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Landscape in the Style of Shitao in May 2018 with an auction result of HKD 106,250.00 (€ 11,608.29).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in New York die Auktion The Reverend Richard Fabian Collection of Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy, Part V The Online Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Landscape von Jiang Eshi zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 1.020,00 (€ 919,50) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jiang Eshi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Landscape in the Style of Shitao im Mai 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 106.250,00 (€ 11.608,29).
