The work Ink Lotus by Jiang Eshi was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2019. The auction ended at the price of HKD 30,000.00 (€ 3,433.49), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of HKD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jiang Eshi - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Landscape in the Style of Shitao, which sold at auction in May 2018 for HKD 106,250.00 (€ 11,608.29).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit Ink Lotus von Jiang Eshi kam im Mai 2019 bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von HKD 30.000,00 (€ 3.433,49) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Jiang Eshi mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Landscape in the Style of Shitao beobachtet, die im Mai 2018 für HKD 106.250,00 (€ 11.608,29) versteigert wurde.
