This price was achieved in the auction Fine Chinese Modern Paintings at Christies in Hong Kong and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of HKD 30,000.00 many times over. This high result makes Landscape in the Style of Shitao the most expensive artwork by Jiang Eshi that we have observed at auctions so far.
