In October 2021 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Paintings, which included the work Herdboys at Sunset by Jia Youfu. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 277,200.00 (€ 30,834.66), 39% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Jia Youfu have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Sunglow Over The Land in April 2015 with an auction result of HKD 2,336,400.00 (€ 270,019.35).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 39 % übertroffen
Im Oktober 2021 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Herdboys at Sunset von Jia Youfu zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 277.200,00 (€ 30.834,66) und damit 39% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jia Youfu auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Sunglow Over The Land im April 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 2.336.400,00 (€ 270.019,35).
