The work Couplet In Seal Script by Ji Shouzheng was sold in the Chinese Painting and Calligraphy from the Four Seas auction at China Guardian in Hong Kong in May 2017. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 16,520.00 (€ 1,886.36), 38% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ji Shouzheng - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Eight-Character Couplet In Bronze Scription, which sold at auction in April 2015 for HKD 63,250.00 (€ 7,309.85).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 38 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Couplet In Seal Script von Ji Shouzheng wurde im Mai 2017 in der Auktion Chinese Painting and Calligraphy from the Four Seas bei China Guardian in Hong Kong versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 16.520,00 (€ 1.886,36) und damit 38% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Ji Shouzheng mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Eight-Character Couplet In Bronze Scription beobachtet, die im April 2015 für HKD 63.250,00 (€ 7.309,85) versteigert wurde.
