Artwork auctioned at four times the upper estimate price
When the work Song Of Guerrilla by Ji Kang was auctioned at China Guardian in Hong Kong in May 2017, the result exceeded expectations many times over. The upper estimate was set at a - in retrospect quite modest - HKD 5,000.00 but the actual price achieved was more than four times as high at HKD 21,240.00 (€ 2,425.32). Admittedly, works by Ji Kang have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Peonies in October 2014 with an auction result of HKD 125,000.00 (€ 12,869.11).
Kunstwerk zum Vierfachen des oberen Schätzpreises versteigert
Als die Arbeit Song Of Guerrilla von Ji Kang im Mai 2017 bei China Guardian in Hong Kong versteigert wurde, übertraf das Ergebnis die Erwartungen um ein Vielfaches. Der obere Schätzpreis war mit – rückwirkend betrachtet recht bescheidenen – HKD 5.000,00 angesetzt, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis hingegen war mit HKD 21.240,00 (€ 2.425,32) mehr als viermal so hoch. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ji Kang auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Peonies im Oktober 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 125.000,00 (€ 12.869,11).
