Auction result well in line with expectations
In November last year Bonhams in London held the auction Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art including Baghdadiyat Part IIIThe Finale, which included the work Pitcher by Jewad Selim. The price achieved of GBP 17,850.00 (€ 20,684.07) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 12,000.00 – 20,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jewad Selim achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Good and Evil, An Abstraction in November 2021 with an auction result of GBP 838,750.00 (€ 984,771.42).
