Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Mother and Child by Jewad Selim was sold in the Sketches from Baghdad auction at Bonhams in London in February last year. It achieved a price of GBP 612.00 (€ 731.68), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 22%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jewad Selim achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Good and Evil, An Abstraction in November 2021 with an auction result of GBP 838,750.00 (€ 984,771.42).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Mother and Child von Jewad Selim wurde im Februar letzten Jahres in der Auktion Sketches from Baghdad bei Bonhams in London versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 612,00 (€ 731,68) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 22%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jewad Selim erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Good and Evil, An Abstraction im November 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 838.750,00 (€ 984.771,42).
