Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Al-Saqi (The Water Seller) by Jewad Selim was auctioned at Bonhams in London in February last year. It achieved a price of GBP 1,211.25 (€ 1,448.13), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 21%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jewad Selim achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Good and Evil, An Abstraction in November 2021 with an auction result of GBP 838,750.00 (€ 984,771.42).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Al-Saqi (The Water Seller) von Jewad Selim kam im Februar letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 1.211,25 (€ 1.448,13) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 21%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jewad Selim erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Good and Evil, An Abstraction im November 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 838.750,00 (€ 984.771,42).
