Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Two cavalry officers on the trot by Jerzy Kossak was auctioned at Christies in London in March 2001. The price achieved of GBP 470.00 (€ 758.39) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 400.00 – 600.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jerzy Kossak achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Napoleon outside Moscow in December 2021 with an auction result of SEK 230,000.00 (€ 22,435.06).
