This artwork by Jerzy Kossak achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in August 2011. In the Christie's Interiors auction, the work The Round-up sold for GBP 3,000.00 (€ 3,387.96) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 1,200.00. Admittedly, works by Jerzy Kossak have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Napoleon outside Moscow in December 2021 with an auction result of SEK 230,000.00 (€ 22,435.06).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Jerzy Kossak erzielte im August 2011 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Christie's Interiors wurde die Arbeit The Round-up für GBP 3.000,00 (€ 3.387,96) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 1.200,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jerzy Kossak auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Napoleon outside Moscow im Dezember 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von SEK 230.000,00 (€ 22.435,06).
