Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Jerome Myers could be acquired at Bonhams in Skinner Marlborough, Massachusetts in December last year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Studio Art auction, the work Two Color Etchings: On Ninth Ave and Child with Parasol changed hands for USD 255.00 (€ 238.36) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 400.00 – 600.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jerome Myers achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Playground in October 2000 with an auction result of USD 30,550.00 (€ 36,000.47).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Jerome Myers konnte im Dezember letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in Skinner Marlborough, Massachusetts für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Studio Art wechselte die Arbeit Two Color Etchings: On Ninth Ave and Child with Parasol für USD 255,00 (€ 238,36) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 400,00 – 600,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jerome Myers erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Playground im Oktober 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 30.550,00 (€ 36.000,47).
