This artwork by Jerkface achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in an online auction in May 2020. In the REFRESH:RELOAD Online Auction auction, the work Ninja Turtles sold for HKD 150,000.00 (€ 17,435.57) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 60,000.00. Admittedly, works by Jerkface have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Homerbob Wave (Variant) in April this year with an auction result of HKD 119,700.00 (€ 122,237.12).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Jerkface erzielte im Mai 2020 bei Phillips in einer Online-Auktion einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion REFRESH:RELOAD Online Auction wurde die Arbeit Ninja Turtles für HKD 150.000,00 (€ 17.435,57) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 60.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jerkface auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Homerbob Wave (Variant) im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 119.700,00 (€ 122.237,12).
