Artwork auctioned at three times the upper estimate price
The work Donut Mobile by Jerkface was worth HKD 35,280.00 (€ 3,883.87) to a buyer in September 2020. This price was achieved in the auction Contemporary Art | Hong Kong at Sothebys in Hong Kong and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of HKD 9,000.00 many times over. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jerkface achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Homerbob Wave (Variant) in April this year with an auction result of HKD 119,700.00 (€ 122,237.12).
Kunstwerk zum Dreifachen des oberen Schätzpreises versteigert
Die Arbeit Donut Mobile von Jerkface war einem Käufer im September 2020 HKD 35.280,00 (€ 3.883,87) wert. Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion Contemporary Art | Hong Kong bei Sothebys in Hong Kong erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 9.000,00 um ein Vielfaches. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jerkface erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Homerbob Wave (Variant) im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 119.700,00 (€ 122.237,12).
