Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Jennifer Lee achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in March 2018. In the Made in Britain auction, the work Olive, Dark Haloes, Speckled And Amber Bands, Tilted Rim sold for GBP 37,500.00 (€ 42,695.82) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 16,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Jennifer Lee; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Pale, Two Speckled Shadow Rings sold at auction in October last year with the realized price of GBP 63,000.00 (€ 73,394.30).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Jennifer Lee erzielte im März 2018 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Made in Britain wurde die Arbeit Olive, Dark Haloes, Speckled And Amber Bands, Tilted Rim für GBP 37.500,00 (€ 42.695,82) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 16.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Jennifer Lee; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Pale, Two Speckled Shadow Rings im Oktober letzten Jahres mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 63.000,00 (€ 73.394,30).
