JENNA GRIBBON (B. 1978) Comment Section digital print in colours, 2021, on wove paper, signed and numbered 4/20 in pen on the accompanying certificate of authenticity (there were also two artist's proofs), published by Art for Black Lives Image & Sheet 293 x 208 mm.
Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Comment Section by Jenna Gribbon was sold in the Contemporary Edition: London auction at Christies in London in March this year. It changed hands for a price of GBP 2,772.00 (€ 3,153.69) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jenna Gribbon achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Regarding Me Regarding You and Me in November this year with an auction result of USD 478,800.00 (€ 438,943.89).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Comment Section von Jenna Gribbon wurde im März diesen Jahres in der Auktion Contemporary Edition: London bei Christies in London versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 2.772,00 (€ 3.153,69) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jenna Gribbon erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Regarding Me Regarding You and Me im November diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 478.800,00 (€ 438.943,89).
