Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Study for Secretary of State by Jeff Sonhouse was sold in the 20th c. & Contemporary Art Day Sale, Afternoon Session auction at Phillips in New York in July 2020. The price achieved of USD 17,500.00 (€ 14,863.26) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Admittedly, works by Jeff Sonhouse have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Bubonic Bling in November 2019 with an auction result of USD 162,500.00 (€ 147,472.55).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Study for Secretary of State von Jeff Sonhouse wurde im Juli 2020 in der Auktion 20th c. & Contemporary Art Day Sale, Afternoon Session bei Phillips in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 17.500,00 (€ 14.863,26) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 15.000,00 – 20.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jeff Sonhouse auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Bubonic Bling im November 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 162.500,00 (€ 147.472,55).
