Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A Shepherdess with her flock by Jef Louis Van Leemputten was auctioned at Christies in London in February 2012. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 875.00 (€ 1,044.77) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Jef Louis Van Leemputten have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Tending the flock in March 2001 with an auction result of USD 4,465.00 (€ 5,077.33).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit A Shepherdess with her flock von Jef Louis Van Leemputten kam im Februar 2012 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 875,00 (€ 1.044,77) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jef Louis Van Leemputten auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Tending the flock im März 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 4.465,00 (€ 5.077,33).
