The »bidding war« ended at EUR 4,541.00 51% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Jef Diederen have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Dutch Yom Kipur in March 2010 with an auction result of EUR 21,150.00.

Die Arbeit Mont Mirail von Jef Diederen wurde im Juni 2004 in der Auktion Twentieth Century Art including Belgian Art bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 4.541,00 und damit 51% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jef Diederen auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Dutch Yom Kipur im März 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 21.150,00.
