Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Jeanne Dunning achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in July 2012. In the Christie's Interiors auction, the work Red Detail, 1990 sold for USD 3,250.00 (€ 2,639.06) - well above the upper estimate of USD 1,200.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jeanne Dunning - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Neck, 1990; And Detail #16, 1992, which sold at auction in April 2006 for USD 10,200.00 (€ 8,079.85).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Jeanne Dunning erzielte im Juli 2012 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Christie's Interiors wurde die Arbeit Red Detail, 1990 für USD 3.250,00 (€ 2.639,06) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 1.200,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Jeanne Dunning mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Neck, 1990; And Detail #16, 1992 beobachtet, die im April 2006 für USD 10.200,00 (€ 8.079,85) versteigert wurde.
