Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Jean Volang could be acquired at Christies in Singapore in October 2000 for an unexpectedly low price. In the SOUTHEAST ASIAN PAINTINGS auction, the work Sur la plage a Bali (At the beach, Bali) changed hands for SGD 4,700.00 (€ 3,152.53) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of SGD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jean Volang achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Le modèle in December 2021 with an auction result of HKD 504,000.00 (€ 57,088.53).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Jean Volang konnte im Oktober 2000 bei Christies in Singapur für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion SOUTHEAST ASIAN PAINTINGS wechselte die Arbeit Sur la plage a Bali (At the beach, Bali) für SGD 4.700,00 (€ 3.152,53) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von SGD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jean Volang erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Le modèle im Dezember 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 504.000,00 (€ 57.088,53).
