Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Jean Volang could be acquired at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2013 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian auction, the work Abstract Landscape changed hands for HKD 35,000.00 (€ 3,321.32) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of HKD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jean Volang achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Le modèle in December 2021 with an auction result of HKD 504,000.00 (€ 57,088.53).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Jean Volang konnte im Oktober 2013 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian wechselte die Arbeit Abstract Landscape für HKD 35.000,00 (€ 3.321,32) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jean Volang erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Le modèle im Dezember 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 504.000,00 (€ 57.088,53).
