The work Vase by Jean van Dongen was sold in the Impressionist/Modern auction at Christies in London in June 2012. It changed hands for a price of GBP 1,875.00 (€ 2,321.70) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Vase is the most expensive artwork by Jean van Dongen that we have observed at auctions so far.

Die Arbeit Vase von Jean van Dongen wurde im Juni 2012 in der Auktion Impressionist/Modern bei Christies in London versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 1.875,00 (€ 2.321,70) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.500,00 – 2.000,00. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Vase das teuerste Kunstwerk von Jean van Dongen, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
