Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Jean-Richard Goubie could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in October 2019 for an unexpectedly low price. In the European Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture auction, the work Choosing The Best Hunter changed hands for USD 17,500.00 (€ 15,688.03) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jean-Richard Goubie achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work French l'Après-Midi Du Dimanche Au Jardin D'Acclimatation in May 2011 with an auction result of USD 662,500.00 (€ 460,837.51).
