In May 2012 Sothebys in Paris held the auction Art Contemporain, which included the work L'Automne En Virginie by Jean Bazaine. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 53,550.00 34% above the upper estimate. Other works by Jean Bazaine have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of EUR 105,850.00 in May 2008 for the work Pierres, Arbres Et Plaine.

Im Mai 2012 führte Sothebys in Paris die Auktion Art Contemporain durch, in der auch die Arbeit L'Automne En Virginie von Jean Bazaine zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 53.550,00 und damit 34% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Andere Arbeiten von Jean Bazaine haben noch höhere Preise erzielt - wir haben das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis von EUR 105.850,00 im Mai 2008 für die Arbeit Pierres, Arbres Et Plaine beobachtet.
