Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Composition - 1946 by Jean Bazaine was auctioned at Artcurial in Paris in June this year. The price achieved of EUR 3,936.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jean Bazaine achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Pierres, Arbres Et Plaine in May 2008 with an auction result of EUR 105,850.00.

Die Arbeit Composition - 1946 von Jean Bazaine kam im Juni diesen Jahres bei Artcurial in Paris zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 3.936,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jean Bazaine erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Pierres, Arbres Et Plaine im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 105.850,00.
