In November this year Artcurial held the auction Limited Edition, which included the work Le couchant - 1979 by Jean-Paul Riopelle. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 1,574.00 31% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jean-Paul Riopelle achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Sans Titre in December 2017 with an auction result of EUR 4,882,500.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 31 % übertroffen
Im November diesen Jahres führte Artcurial die Auktion Limited Edition durch, in der auch die Arbeit Le couchant - 1979 von Jean-Paul Riopelle zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 1.574,00 und damit 31% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jean-Paul Riopelle erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Sans Titre im Dezember 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 4.882.500,00.
