Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Jean Miotte was sold in the Art Contemporain Day Auction auction at Sothebys in Paris in June last year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 3,024.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jean Miotte achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Ohne Titel in December 2011 with an auction result of EUR 51,240.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Jean Miotte wurde im Juni letzten Jahres in der Auktion Art Contemporain Day Auction bei Sothebys in Paris versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 3.024,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jean Miotte erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Ohne Titel im Dezember 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 51.240,00.
