Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Jean Miotte achieved an unexpectedly high price at Artcurial in Paris in June this year. In the Post-War & Contemporary Art auction, the work Duel - circa 1990 sold for EUR 19,680.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 7,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jean Miotte - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Ohne Titel, which sold at auction in December 2011 for EUR 51,240.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Jean Miotte erzielte im Juni diesen Jahres bei Artcurial in Paris einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art wurde die Arbeit Duel - circa 1990 für EUR 19.680,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 7.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Jean Miotte mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Ohne Titel beobachtet, die im Dezember 2011 für EUR 51.240,00 versteigert wurde.
