Artwork auctioned at five times the upper estimate price
When the work Suite Nuptiale (I, Ii) ; Untitled (Iii) 3 Works by Jean-Michel Meurice was auctioned at Sothebys in Paris in May 2021, the result exceeded expectations many times over. The upper estimate was set at - in retrospect quite modest - EUR 800.00 but the actual price achieved was more than five times as high at EUR 4,788.00. Admittedly, works by Jean-Michel Meurice have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Untitled (2 Corner Pieces) in May 2021 with an auction result of EUR 30,240.00.
Kunstwerk zum Fünffachen des oberen Schätzpreises versteigert
Als die Arbeit Suite Nuptiale (I, Ii) ; Untitled (Iii) 3 Works von Jean-Michel Meurice im Mai 2021 bei Sothebys in Paris versteigert wurde, übertraf das Ergebnis die Erwartungen um ein Vielfaches. Der obere Schätzpreis war mit – rückwirkend betrachtet recht bescheidenen – EUR 800,00 angesetzt, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis hingegen war mit EUR 4.788,00 mehr als fünfmal so hoch. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jean-Michel Meurice auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Untitled (2 Corner Pieces) im Mai 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 30.240,00.
