Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A nude man mourning the death of another (recto); and figure studies (verso) by Théodore Géricault was auctioned at Christies in London in July last year. The price achieved of GBP 25,200.00 (€ 30,093.28) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Théodore Géricault achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait d'Alfred et Elisabeth Dedreux in February 2009 with an auction result of EUR 9,025,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit A nude man mourning the death of another (recto); and figure studies (verso) von Théodore Géricault kam im Juli letzten Jahres bei Christies in London zur Auktion.
