The work Sunrise off the Jersey coast by John Le Capelain was sold in the Maritime Art auction at Christies in London in November 2011. The result of GBP 400.00 (€ 466.96) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 400.00 – 600.00. Admittedly, works by John Le Capelain have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Shipping at dusk in November 2010 with an auction result of GBP 2,750.00 (€ 3,286.25).

Die Arbeit Sunrise off the Jersey coast von John Le Capelain wurde im November 2011 in der Auktion Maritime Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 400,00 (€ 466,96) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 400,00 – 600,00.
