Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2018 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Master Paintings, which included the work Portrait Of Mrs John Drummond, Seated Three-Quarter Length, Wearing A Blue Dress, White Lace Apron And Cap by Jean Laurent Mosnier. The price achieved of GBP 9,375.00 (€ 10,675.61) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jean Laurent Mosnier achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait Of Arkady Alexandrovich Suvorov (1784-1811) in June 2014 with an auction result of GBP 108,100.00 (€ 135,065.78).

Im Mai 2018 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Old Master Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Portrait Of Mrs John Drummond, Seated Three-Quarter Length, Wearing A Blue Dress, White Lace Apron And Cap von Jean Laurent Mosnier zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 9.375,00 (€ 10.675,61) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jean Laurent Mosnier erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Portrait Of Arkady Alexandrovich Suvorov (1784-1811) im Juni 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 108.100,00 (€ 135.065,78).
