It achieved a price of USD 58,750.00 (€ 62,982.42), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 47%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jean Laurent Mosnier - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Portrait Of Arkady Alexandrovich Suvorov (1784-1811), which sold at auction in June 2014 for GBP 108,100.00 (€ 135,065.78).

Die Arbeit Portrait of Mrs. Henry Pelham, seated three-quarter-length, in a white dress and a white hat, before a table with books von Jean Laurent Mosnier wurde im Mai 2000 in der Auktion Old Master Paintings from the Lagerfeld Collection bei Christies in New York versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 58.750,00 (€ 62.982,42) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 47%.
