Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2018 a collector was able to acquire the work Salomé, variante tardive by Jean-Jacques Henner for USD 20,000.00 (€ 17,649.14). This price was achieved in the auction European Art: Part II at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 25,000.00 – 35,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jean-Jacques Henner - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work French la Magdeleine, which sold at auction in December 2015 for GBP 43,750.00 (€ 59,410.40).
