Upper estimated price slightly exceeded

Here, the upper estimate of EUR 12,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for EUR 12,500.00. Admittedly, works by Jean Gaston Mantel have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Fantasia, 1968 in December 2009 with an auction result of EUR 60,450.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Musiciennes -1971 von Jean Gaston Mantel kam im Dezember 2015 bei Artcurial zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von EUR 12.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für EUR 12.500,00 einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jean Gaston Mantel auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Fantasia, 1968 im Dezember 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 60.450,00.
